Hello friends. I hope you’re doing well. Welcome to the Outdoor Extravangaza, hosted by my dear friend Shauna. I missed last week because of these adorable little guys.
I was getting ready to plant my front door planters when we discovered a little bunny nest. There’s 5 of them and they were burrowed in the planter covered by dry grass and rabbit fur.
This is them yesterday…
It’s only been a week and they’re now too big for the burrow and seem ready to leave. Hubby placed this pot in the planter just to give them a little extra shelter. The planter is about 3 feet tall and I’m not too sure how they’ll manage to jump off. And if they do, I don’t think they’ll be able to get back in. So I’m a little worried about that.
I know the momma comes to feed them in the evening and leaves at dusk but I have no idea what will happen when it’s time for them to leave but I’ll keep you posted.
This week, we’re sharing outdoor decorating and entertaining and once again just like last week, I ran into some problems because the canopy I had ordered for our gazebo didn’t fit and the panels I ordered have not arrived…etc. 🙁
So I took a little trip to Walmart to see if they had any extra canopies that maybe would fit our current gazebo and unfortunately they didn’t but they did have this amazing little Parisian bistro set.
Isn’t it just sooo good?
I was trying to figure where it would look the best. I tried it at the side of the yard but I don’t like how it looks there just sitting on the
So I decided to move it to the little area by the back door…
It looks a little better there but we will definitely have to replace the stones there and tidy things up but it’s been raining so we couldn’t really do anything.
I’m honestly impressed by the fact that I found these at Walmart. They’ve really up their game don’t you think?
I think once the little bunnies leave (very sad ) I’ll try this little set at the front porch. I think it will look great there. But maybe once the vine grows all in, it will look better here. Our trees and bushes are only starting to bloom.
I had a really hard time with this post because I’m discouraged with our current backyard space. I’ve never really liked our suburban backyard even though it’s the second largest in our neighbourhood. I wish I didn’t have to see the neighbors houses.
That’s why I love my little gazebo, because it provides that privacy I find so important. Hopefully by the time I share with you the backyard again, I’ll have my little oasis ready. 🙂
In the meantime, take a look at these amazing backyards and entertaining ideas from my friends.
Thank you so much for stopping by today…xo

Precious! I was ant some baby bunnies for my yard too!
Those little bunnies are so cute! We have one that likes to sleep under a shrub each night. Thankfully he/she doesn’t eat my plants! I can relate to the yard thing. Although we have lovely neighbours, we both grew up in the country with nothing but nature surrounding us. On the hunt for a place in the country or a home with a private yard. Hopefully we will find something soon 🙂
I love this sweet little set! And those bunnies?!? Aw! We’ve got several in our neighbourhood as well:)
Every single picture in this post is so gorgeous! Bunnies, brody, the black and white chairs and those pink flowers <3
I love the bunnies. Would you kindly share the name of the bistro table? I don’t have a Walmart close by. I’ve love to see if I can order it online.

Oh my goodness – those bunnies!!!! My Niece’s boyfriend is a landscaper and every year he saves all the baby bunnies, I’m so glad for his kind heart! And your kind heart, how lucky these little babies are! Bud and I lived in Military housing for years, so I know exactly what you are saying about seeing the neighbours. We are so very grateful for our property today – still so much to do of course, but grateful for that privacy. 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing your oasis next week, have a wonderful day! xo

I have been feeding the wild rabbits in my yard for over a year now. I use a potato peeler to clean them and then slice them. I now have 3 bunnies that will come and take pieces out of my hand. My son tells me not to peel them and I say I would not feed them to you unpeeled. He now calls me “The Rabbit Whisperer”.
Those bunnies are adorable. We’ve had them under the shed but I didn’t know they’d burrow into a planter. Wow! I love this little patio set with the pink flowers, lemonade and sun hat. Perfect spot to relax.
I agree, Walmart has totally upped it’s game…that is a fantastic set! Your yard is looking lovely Lucy…and those bunnies…the CUTEST!
How do you spend Christmas?

Those bunnies are so adorable! What a cool experience. And I love that set you picked up – I’m now trying to think where I could make that work at our house. loL!
Go visit wild rabbits dot org. Lots of info there on what to do and expect. We been in similar position of protecting wild bunnies during a flash flood . The rabbit vfc society were very helpful. May be wild rabbit society dot org.

wow, the rabbits look so adorable, i also like to raise rabbits.
I love the chairs and table and I’m also totally surprised that came from Walmart! (Walmart Canada??) Your photography skills are beautiful, Lucy. Nothing cuter than baby bunnies. I wouldn’t worry about them. I think they have a knack of surviving and once they’ve hopped out of the planter, I’m sure Mama is close by. The bunny in the clay pot reminds me of a picture in my Peter Rabbit story book when I was a little girl.
It rabbit, reminds me of my childhood
I’m happy that I found this post, thanks so much!
I’ve been eyeing that bistro set for a while. The way you styled it makes it even more gorgeous. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and finally get it.
