Hello friends…I hope you’ve been enjoying the fabulous home tours. Did you have an opportunity to see the beautiful home of Paige Knudsen? Wow, right? Each year, the homes never fail to inspire.

I’m so honoured to be joining  Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Housewalk again this year. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Jennifer for having believed in me a few years ago, when she first asked if I would be interested in joining. Though this is my third year, I still get as nervous and excited as the first year I participated.

This year is extra special as we have partnered with Joss & Main and Goodhouse Keeping Magazine.

If you are new to Craftberry Bush, I want to give you a warm welcome. I hope that within these photos you will find a little inspiration and perhaps even some ideas  that you can incorporate into your own home.

On Monday, I shared Part 1 of my home dressed for Christmas and wrote a little piece of my heart and the emotions that these home tours evoke in me. You can read more about that HERE.

I typically like to decorate with neutrals and a lot  of white, but lately I have been stepping out of my comfort zone and including color in my decor. I debated whether or not I would use the trending neutrals again this year, but decided against it at the last minute as I knew that the kiddies were going to love having color in our home for Christmas.

I’m going to do very little writing in this post as it’s my hope the photos convey a feeling of warmth and make you feel welcome.

Let’s start in our mudroom. This little place gets a lot of use each day as it’s where the kiddies drop their school bags, shoes, jackets etc.

I made this cute blanket carrier this fall, and you can read the tutorial HERE.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-63
Our doors open directly into our living room and dining room, which I shared on Monday.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-42
This here is my favorite Christmas tree. I love the way the garland looks like cascading snow. You can read more about the garland HERE.

A quick look at our dining room and the chandelier from Joss & Main.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-59
Let’s head on over to the family room shall we?

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-56
We painted our stairs this past summer and I’ve been waiting for the moment to dress them up for Christmas ever since.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-58
This garland from Joss & Main comes pre-lit and it has the prettiest frosted shimmering tip.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-55
One of my favorite tricks is to add real greenery to faux garlands. It makes them look fuller and adds a sweet scent of pine.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-57
Even though I’m probably the world’s worse wrapper , I like using wrapped gifts as part of my Christmas decor. You can read more about that HERE

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-52
Have you met Brody? He’s always near me so he makes it into a lot of the photos in the blog. He started posing for photos when he was a pup so he’s very good at it. He thinks he’s going to get cheese after every ‘click’ of the camera. ha.

Let’s go around the corner…
This is our family room and probably one of the coziest rooms in our home. As you can see, I used lots of red and plaids.

Christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-11
I often get asked how I keep our couches so clean with 3 kids and a dog, and truth is, they’re usually covered with throws which I wash regularly.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-79
I don’t think I’ve ever shared a picture of  Stella our hedgehog here on the blog, but thought it’s fitting since she’s pretending to be an ornament…ha

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-81
They are very intrigued by each other, and sometimes Stella will climb on Brody and he gets extremely nervous.

Christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-6
But I digress. Let’s take a look at the mantel, which this year reminds me of a little scene from a winter forest.

These amazing skis are from Joss & Main as well. They’re a great accent for a wall.

I  know I’m biased, but he’s so handsome…:)

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-51
There is always something magical about the glow of a Christmas tree and a roaring fire.

christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-50
Here’s the tree in the dining room in the evening.

Christmashousetour2015craftberrybush-14
That’s it for now…I hope you can come back tomorrow for the the last part of my Christmas tour.

I want to thank you so much for stopping by. I truly hope that you found some inspiration, but most importantly, I hope that as you travel through these home tours, you are reminded that home is about the people who you do life with. The laughter, love, joy and the memories you make within those walls.

God bless my sweet friends, and Merry Christmas!

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Next stop – the very talented Maria from The Rusty Hinge. You won’t want to miss this one…:)

Your Christmas decor is truly magical right down to the sweet pair of mittens hanging above the mantel. May I ask where you found the beautiful rosy faux pomegranates seen in the hutch?

    Lucy,
I’ve always said Brody should be in commercials, but I’m also in hedgehog heaven. I was like,” is that real?” So adorable. I saw both your home tours and just couldn’t get enough. I love the traditional pops of red. I will go back and see this a couple more times to make sure I didn’t miss anything!

    Hi Lucy!
First, Brody and Stella are adorable! Second, I visited your home tour yesterday and have been pondering since, what it is about your decor this year that touched my heart. I think I have finally figured it out. In my mind, Christmas is a child’s holiday. Whether the child is 7 or 77! When you talked about how your children didn’t want a boring tree, I recalled a Christmas when my daughter (now 30) was young. She begged us (in her cute, childlike way) to use “pretty” lights on the tree. I so wanted the new trend at that time…”white lights.” Well, I finally relented and the look on her cute, snaggletoothed face when she saw the tree with pretty lights waiting to be decorated will stay with me the rest of my life. With that said, your home this year is decorated for the child in all of us. Bright! Twinkling lights! Warmth! Love! Sparkles! and Love that brings to mind the love of our Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lucy!

Your home decorating is so absolutely gorgeous! But I have to say your dog and adorable hedgehog, Stella, really melted my heart! Have a wonderful holiday season!

Where did you find those awesome logs/branches on your fireplace? I have searched for them and I don’t have that type of tree that I could just go cut some….haha

  12. says

First of all, your rooms are beautiful! I pinned many of them. But your hedgehog (!) and dog stole the show for me! They are so cute!!! When I saw the first picture of Stella, I wasn’t sure if she was real or not. I love it! Hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Wow! I’m going to camp out here today and enjoy looking at your beautiful home. Fabulous eye candy and photography. Just the inspiration I needed today. Thank you for sharing!

    Hi Lucy,
I love the hedgehog and the pup. I thought the hedgehog was really an ornament. LOL. Your furkid is precious! I’m a dog lover myself. I’m a mom to one giant black lab who is also half Golden Retrieve. At first glance, everyone thinks he is a giant black lab. At least, until I tell them about his fur-moms side. I just love him so much. I managed to crop into a few of my photos for my Home Tour blog post. All of my friends and family said having the furry family members in my photos makes them feel more realistic and attainable.

I love your take on a rustic snowy Christmas style. The other night I was trying to leave comments on a previous Christmas tour of yours, but evidently technology decided that was impossible. I might be able to leave a comment one of these days when I see a photo pop up on Pinterest. I have visited that post so many times and finally had figured out why I kept coming back. Whenever I see that post I always click back to your blog. I love your photos.

I’ve been working on photography for the past year. I have definitely improved greatly since last year at this time. I see you used a lot of birch wood. What area do you live in? Birch grows in northern states and in Canada. Those areas are typically darker. I live in Alaska where it’s dark and we have birch trees galore. Your photos are bright and crisp which makes me curious how far north you are. I am struggling to take photos of my home with our dark days. That has led me to the decision to begin decorating extremely early next year. November and December are just way to dark to produce quality photos for my blog. Of course those issues might be solved with a large investment into a new camera body and a lens that both run about $2 grand apiece. Baby steps here. LOL.

Anyway, I just love your holiday home Christmas tours. I really do come and look at them often- even in summer. LOL.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Lucy.

You are so talented it’s unbelievable! That mantel is to die for – obsessed doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel towards it! Great job!

Absolutely gorgeous! I MUST know the name and brand of your wall paint above the fireplace (like a pale gray blue?)
