Love my pasta...

Everything around becomes a canvas
when I allow my creativity to run free...

You might be thinking...
'this girl has waaaayyy too much time on her hands'
and I would not blame you if you thought that...

Who paints on PASTA after all? The answer is, me. Why you ask? Well...
1. I had left over paint on my palette and didn't want it to go to waste (logical enough)
2. Isabella will always remember the day her mama said 'let's paint some pasta!' (and she was not joking)
3. No matter how bizarre this is, you have to admit, they do make you giggle a little

And so in this creative, sometimes crazy, but never dull world of mine, painting some bow pasta doesn't seem too crazy after all.

Because you see, perhaps it is not too much time on my hands that I have, but too much imagination that sometimes spills out in unorthodox ways...

But hey...look here...wrapping embellishment...

Cute little frame for little girl's room?
Not so crazy after all, huh? (please don't answer that)

.

I hope you allow your imagination and creativity
to do bizarre yet wonderful things today!

much love,
Lucy

p.s. Our family is taking another little trip to the cottage today for a couple of days and so I won't be able to post, but am sure I'll find a minute or two to check out what you're up to.

Hubby is off this coming week and hopefully I can convince him to help me build something manly. I'm in the mood to saw and hammer some wood. I know exactly what I want to build and can't wait to share with you.

See you all soon.

and here, thank you for taking the time to host.

  3. I LOVE these colors! I'm trying to incorporate them as accents into my bedroom... with white walls (apartment, can't paint... tragedy!) and brown as the main color.

  11. Oh fantastic! I kept thinking how did she get that shape out of fabric and then I saw the picture with your fingers in the paint and it clicked you really did paint your pasta. Be your kiddos love projects like this. Anything that encourages creativity is amazing in my book! Have a fun and safe time away!

  12. OH MY GOSH- When I first saw this I thought you had taken pinking shears and cut out little fabric rectangles and made them into little bow ties! That is one of the cutest things I ever saw. Only YOU would be painting pasta!;>) It IS something your daughter will always remember. My kids remember me bringing in cookie sheets heaped with snow and placing them on an old shower curtain on the kitchen floor so they could "play in the snow" because it was too cold to go outside.

Yep-Your kids will remember that- but...ah...here's the rub...my kids STILL think I am crazy~ good luck with that- xo Diana

  13. If we didn't have people in this world with too much time on their hands we would be missing out on lots of pretty things. These are just adorable!!

Thanks for sharing your creativity with all of us.

  16. This pasta is just darling - crazy to paint them? I say put your art in an Etsy shop and let us "crazy" folks buy it, Lucy!
I forgot to follow up with you on dye for silk flowers. It turns out JoAnns carries dyes for synthetics. It is packaged like a seed packet. I purchased some, but did not end up using it. Thanks for your help.
