Love Mantel...

Every day is Valentine's day when you love and are loved

Love is patient,

love is kind and is not jealous;

love does not brag and is not arrogant,

does not act unbecomingly;

it does not seek its own,

is not provoked,

does not take into account a wrong suffered,

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails...But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

sending you much love,

Lucy

  7. Beautiful post and decor. I love the way you integrated 1 Corinthians slowly instead of all at once. Pink and blue are my favorite combination for Valentine's.

  21. Beautiful decor, and Beautiful Sentiment :) My hubby always says "Valentine's Day is a commercialized holiday, why should it be any different than every other day because I love you all year around" Now some of it is being a smart aleck because he doesn't want to do anything, but most of it really is true :)

  23. Hiya sweetie!! Just wanted to share with you that I did give your rose tutorial a try!! I got a little confused so I may have gone off the beating path a bit!! I chose to use tissue paper instead of coffee filters and glue instead of floral tape and though it did not come out quit like yours I love it ;O) Hope I did your idea justice!!! http://prettypinkcherub.blogspot.com/2011/01/tissue-paper-rose-and-glitter.html

    I hope to make a full bouquet tomorrow for my mother's upcoming birthday ;O) Many BIG hugs with lots of Thank you's! Tammy

  34. What a pretty mantel! The coffee filter roses are so pretty! I have yet to try my hand at them. When my children were young, I was always drawing and creating things for them too. We didn't have a lot of money so I used my imagination to decorate our home for every special celebration that came along. It's nice to see you doing this for your little ones too. I love the scriptures from 1Corinthians 13! Thank you for sharing.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  48. I officially know what I'm doing for my husband now for V-day.

    We'll be testing for pregnancy on that day, quicindently. It's our first medicated cycle. You've inspired me to bring out all our wedding Mason jars we love, and do this! and to type out our wedding vows and to frame them. What a great reminder of God's promise in marriage. LOVE IS PATIENT, love ENDURES. :) thank you for the reminder. :)
