Spring Bird – Free Watercolor Printable

Hello, friends…I hope you’re all keeping safe and warm.

We experienced an unusually warm winter and just when we thought the end was in sight, everything changed about two weeks ago. It has been bitterly cold and like many of you in the northeast, we’re expecting lots of snow. But in spite of the weather, my friends and I are calling on Spring and offering several free printables.

I painted a little bird on a branch and wanted to try something different, so I attached it to a real branch and just stuck it in this grape hyacinth pot.

Whimsical and fun, don’t you think?

Simply go HERE to download your free printable.
(as always, for personal use only; no commercial use without permission)

Here is a more traditional display.

Here are many other free printables for you to choose from. Thank you so much for stopping by today.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for a little Spring tour…:)

Lucy, I’ve been marveling at your talent and beautiful artwork on your Instagram for days now. Your work is just gorgeous. Do you do commissioned artwork? I sent you an email this past weekend. If you do commissioned work, I’d love to see if I can afford you for some artwork I have in mind.

I’m trying to download a bunch of things on this hop but for some reason my computer isn’t cooperating. Darn it all anyway.
I love the download of the bird. It’s so spring like. My dad used to like birds and he built bird houses that used to hang outside until they fell down last year. They need to be painted again and rehung.
It’s been a very sad week. Dad went into the hospital on Thurs. or was it Wed. My mind isn’t quite what it should be. 4 days later at 2 am my wonderful, amazing dad passed away. I miss him so much! He would have loved to have seen the bird that you painted. I almost said I would show it to him then I remembered I can’t. I hope we can see each other when it’s my time to go and we meet in Heaven.
Thank you for letting me see your beautiful bird. It reminds me that spring will be here (after we got a foot of snow last week) and I have so much to be thankful for. Dad was 93 when he died of a heart attack. He lived a full, amazing life.

Hi Lucy, you are very talented lady, what a pretty bird you painted on branch. Love how you attached painting to real branch. I am a bird lover anyway and this little one is very special. How wonderful to be able to paint like that.
Need to get new printer cartridges and when I do this will be one of first to print out.
About this time of year am looking for new art to put on walls. Bought some frames at Walmart but have several others I paint and repurpose gotten at thrift stores. Have been waiting to decide what art I wanted this Spring, so many of what you’ve all offered is going to be on my walls. Usually I go to Graphics Fairy for new art.
Want to thank you so much for sharing your talent. Will enjoy this painting for long while.
Hope you are having wonderful weekend.

I saved the last photo (with the ivy, nest, and egg) and set it as my desktop background at work. It’s so lovely and springy, and just enough to decorate without adding visual clutter or distraction. Thank you for sharing your talent!

I used to draw a lot as a teenager and now, at a certain vintage, I’m trying my hand at painting with oils or acrylic. Thanks to your posts, I feel as though I have you as a teacher walking me through the basic steps. While I LOVE the softness of watercolor and the beautiful results of “wet into wet Top Halogen Headlight Bulbs I prefer to avoid the cost of framing so I use either of the two above-mentioned mediums. Thank you once again, Lucy! Your decorating is beautifully executed as well!
