Hello, friends. I hope you’re having a great week.
Things have been a little quiet on the blog of late as I always find it a little harder to be motivated and upbeat this time a year. Perhaps it’s the winter blues(?). But I find one of the best ways to feel better is to bring in some fresh flowers. It’s such a simple thing to do and it really does wonders for my soul.
I’m so excited to be joining some of my talented friends to bring you some pretty flower arrangements to hopefully help you beat those winter blues.
The other day, hubby stopped at Costco and along with frozen cheese sticks and taquitos, he brought me these gorgeous roses. Ha. Aren’t they beautiful?
I wanted to create a super simple little display to show you how an inexpensive bouquet of grocery store flowers can become a beautiful centerpiece.
I used some of my vintage teacups as the vessels.
You can use traditional green floral oasis to hold the flowers in place, but as I didn’t have any on hand, I used chicken wire.
I simply cut the roses and inserted them through the holes of the chicken wire.
I like using uneven numbers when arranging florals…
…and complimented them with some faux eucalyptus.
The finishing touch was a little moss, just to cover any empty space.
I made five separate little arrangements, but when you place them all together, they can have a great impact.
I placed one of the arrangements on top of the stack of painted books to add variance in height…
…and placed another arrangement inside the lantern.
There you go….a super simple yet inexpensive pretty centerpiece.
Please make sure to check out the rest of the gorgeous arrangements from my friends below.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
