Simple Summer Centerpiece

It’s a late summer afternoon, gray one minute, sunny the next. It’s like the sun and the clouds are playing hiding go seek .
Last week, while taking Brody on a little walk, we picked up a few wild daisies and some Queen Anne’s Lace.
Such simple ways to bring the beauty of summer into your home.  I used some cherries (the name escapes me) and then I decided to play some more and replaced them with lemons.
Both beautiful summer staples …:)

I truly hope you are enjoying a peaceful and restful summer because these beautiful summer days will be gone before you know it!

Sending you so much love,

This is so beautiful – you sure have talent in photography – just gorgeous.

It made me go into the kitchen for a bowl of cherries to nosh on while reading your blog.

    Have a blessed weekend.

Maybe the name of that pretty variety of cherries escaped you… but, actually, not only had you Queen Anne’s Lace in your composition, but Queen Anne cherries as well. Both the cherries and the lemons were sunny complements for the eyes of the daisies. So very pretty, Lucy.

Photos are very beautiful. Interesting how simple changes, the cherries for lemons, can transform the mood of a photo. Where we live, those are called Rainier cherries. My favorite, so sweet!

    Hi Lucy,

Beautiful and fresh center piece, fabulous photography, you have an artist sense of design in placement, color and visual appeal.
Your site is a wonderful source of inspiration.

I love your flowers. They look so summery. See, you don’t have to spend a lot of money or any money to have a pretty bunch of flowers. Yellow is my favorite color so I love those lemons and my mom loves cherries. Glad to see how nice your house looks!
