Hello friends…I hope you had a nice weekend. It’s hard to believe there is just over a month remaining until Christmas. Every year, hubby and I tell each other this will be the year when we prepare everything ahead of time. And each year we end up doing last minute shopping. It’s what happens when two procrastinators marry. Together, we have formed a formidable super procrastinator.
Today I have joined some of my Canadian friends to share several handmade gift ideas in the hopes it gives you a little inspiration.
Do you remember me saying in this post that I figured out how to make moving GIFs? Well……
This is a super simple little hostess or neighbour gift. You simply take a few staple breakfast items and place them all in a little box. I find that stores like Homesense in Canada or Homegoods in the US tend to have really great specialty items that work well in a gift set like this one.
I used a little brown paper bag tied with some pretty red hemp cord and a simple tag all from canvas corp to put in some pre-made pancake mix. You can add a little instruction or recipe card if you wish.
Easy, fun and thoughtful, no?

What a cute idea for the person you don’t know what to get. Everyone eats breakfast, right? Okay, my nephew doesn’t but everyone else does. I’d do this for breakfast or dinner although the frying pan can be pricy so we’d have to shop around. Thanks for the tip! ‘m going to check out all the other links too!
Love this idea, I know I would love to receive it! Homesense is one of my all time fave’s for this type of gift. Super cute gif too! 😉
Love this gift basket idea and definitely love your GIF! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Love it, and the GIF is so cool too.
Homesense always has the most unique items for baskets like this! I really love the breakfast theme you went with, who doesn’t love a delicious breakfast?
This is a wonderful idea. And I love the gif! It’s obvious you had fun with it, making all the little items climb in by themselves! XD
You are a genius. Love that GIF!
you have a great mind
Putting together a breakfast gift set with pre-made pancake mix and pretty hemp cord is such a thoughtful, cozy idea for a holiday hostess gift. It really is a wonderful reminder of how nice it is to slow down and enjoy a warm, comforting morning meal during the busy winter season. Having a homemade kit like this ready in the pantry is so much better than resorting to a rushed drive-thru trip for a quick breakfast or grabbing a standard box of 10 pc mcnuggets when you’re too exhausted to cook during the holiday rush. I am definitely stopping by Homegoods this week to find some pretty specialty syrups and boxes to recreate this for my neighbors!!!
Such a thoughtful and creative Christmas breakfast gift idea! It’s simple, festive, and perfect for surprising friends or family. For anyone who also enjoys planning quick meals or checking restaurant prices before ordering, I often use Popeyes Menu Prices to browse the latest menu and deals. Great inspiration—thanks for sharing!
This is such a thoughtful holiday gift because it creates a cozy experience rather than adding another ordinary present. A breakfast basket filled with pancake mix, maple syrup, coffee, and a few festive extras would be especially useful for busy families on Christmas morning. It can also be personalized with homemade recipe cards or favorite breakfast treats. For anyone planning the basket and comparing different morning meal ideas, the McDonald’s breakfast menu with prices is a useful reference for seeing popular breakfast combinations and current options. Thanks for sharing such a simple, practical, and charming idea!
This is such a thoughtful way to handle the holiday rush, and I can totally relate to that “super procrastinator” energy! While I love a good DIY gift like this pancake mix, there are those chaotic Christmas mornings where even boiling water feels like a chore. On those days, I usually give in to my cravings and head straight for the mcdonald’s breakfast menu to grab a stack of hotcakes or a McMuffin. It is the ultimate stress-free treat that keeps everyone happy while we unwrap gifts! Thanks for sharing these beautiful handmade ideas to help us stay a bit more organized this year..
That is so relatable! As much as we love the charm of a handmade gift or home-cooked spread, Christmas morning can be absolute chaos—and sometimes a stress-free drive-thru run for hotcakes or a McMuffin is the real holiday lifesaver!
If you ever want to pair those hotcakes with a fun, festive coffee run on a busy morning, checking out options on the seven brew menu is another great way to treat yourself without the hassle.
Thank you for reading and for sharing your cozy holiday morning routine! Wishing you a relaxed and delicious Christmas season!
This is such a clever idea for a hostess gift, especially since the holidays always seem to sneak up on us procrastinators! I love the personal touch of a handmade pancake mix in a cute bag; it feels so much more thoughtful than something store-bought. Even though I enjoy a home-cooked breakfast, on those extra busy shopping days, I’ve definitely scanned the kfc breakfast menu for something quick like a chicken congee or a breakfast wrap to keep my energy up. Thanks for the inspiration to get a head start on my gifting this year!!
I absolutely love the idea of a breakfast gift box because it is so practical for busy holiday mornings. Finding cute items at HomeSense is my favorite way to put these together without spending a fortune. It is definitely more affordable than taking a whole family out to eat or looking up the mcdonalds menu prices for a large group. I will definitely be using the brown paper bag idea for my neighbor gifts this year.
This is such a beautiful and thoughtful idea! A breakfast gift basket is something people can actually enjoy the morning after all the holiday celebrations, and I love how easy it is to personalize with different treats. The presentation is simple yet elegant, making it a perfect hostess gift.
Seeing this inspired me to look for more breakfast ideas beyond homemade recipes, and I found the Popeyes Breakfast Menu really helpful for checking breakfast sandwiches, sides, combo meals, and the latest prices. Thanks for sharing such a creative holiday gift idea!
I recently started using anilab for pc, and it has been a great experience so far. The interface is simple, everything is easy to find, and streaming works smoothly most of the time. I also like how quickly new episodes become available. The video quality is good, and I haven’t faced many buffering issues. It would be even better if more subtitle languages were added in future updates. Overall, this app is a convenient choice for anime fans who want an easy way to watch their favorite series. Thanks to the developers for creating such a useful platform
Using anilab for pc has been a pleasant experience because everything feels simple and well organized. The app loads quickly, and I can easily continue watching from where I stopped. I also like the video quality, which remains stable on a good internet connection. It would be great to see more language support and improved offline viewing in future versions. Overall, the developers have created a useful app that provides an enjoyable anime streaming experience, and I look forward to seeing how it continues to improve.
One thing I enjoy about jack in the box near me is the variety on the menu. Instead of offering only burgers, they have chicken, tacos, breakfast, salads, sides, and desserts that appeal to many different preferences. I like trying new menu items whenever they are introduced because there is always something interesting to discover. The portions are satisfying, and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you receive. The restaurant is also a convenient option when you need a quick meal without sacrificing variety. Overall, it’s a place that offers something enjoyable for both regular customers and first-time visitors.
Looks delicious! I appreciate how clearly you explained the preparation process. I’ll be trying this recipe soon: https://mcdon-menu.com/
