By posting this, I am being some what hypocritical. I have even second quessed why I'm posting it since I have other projects to share with you. But this blog is about me sharing what' s in my heart and being truthful and honest.
So here it is....when I saw these beautiful fabrics by Alexander Henry,
I completely and utterly plagarized it...
So this is an absolute case of being a copy cat....which is something I am not proud of...
But to the artist of this gorgeous fabrics, I say to you from the bottom of my heart, that this is absolutely the sincerest form of not only flattery but admiration for your art work.
I used some of my favourite paints and painted and old canvas bag. I am so in love with the colours and the simple lines of the drawings.
If you get a chance, please visit the site where you will find several of Alexander Henry's collection of fabrics and tell me that you understand why I would want to recreate such gorgeousness.....
I hope I have not disappointed you.
Have a terrific day!
warm hugs,
Lucy

In awe with your talent. painting,sketching,baking,etc....*sigh*
I totally get it. Remember how you opened, with 'Those who do not want to imitate anything, produce nothing.' Salvador Dali? Enough said!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I'm disappointed about is how you apologetic you are being. Stop that! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful work you did!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to show us the finished bag. I would love to see it.
ReplyDeleteI think it's adorable and can't wait to see the completed bag.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo amazing! Most of us would look at that and envy it - or order it- but you? You create your own! It is wonderful! Now I want to see you do the one with the bazillion circles in patterns (Larkspur Circles);>) Anytime you have an extra 5 minutes to do it will work! xxoo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love it! you're always so inspiring!

Imitation is indeed the most sincere form of flattery. I not only get it, I love it! Your intention was pure creativity and you showed us how creative you are! So cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I must ask you, did you free hand the drawings? I can paint, but cannot draw to save myself.
