Hello friends. I hope you had a nice weekend. I’m usually so excited to bring you fresh new printables yet today I’m a little hesitant. You see, last week I found several large sites carrying my designs without my consent and though (unfortunately) I’ve become accustomed to it, this time it just got to me. I guess I should look at it as the cliche ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’ but it honestly doesn’t feel that way. It actually feels like they’re taking a little piece of my soul. I know that might sound dramatic but each time an artist creates, if you’re truly passionate about it, you put your heart and soul into each piece.
Needless to say, I become very protective of my art and don’t want to put anything out there and at the same time, I cannot and will not allow this to stop me from doing what I love. So here I am sharing with you this
vintage pear acrylic painting as a free printable.
It’s a little departure from my usual watercolor, but I love working with acrylic and I wanted to create something a little more ‘sophisticated’. So this is what I came up with. I hope you like it.
As usual, please know that this print is for personal use only and should not be altered or used for profit in any way. If you wish to share this with a friend, please provide them with the
link to this post. It means so much to me that you respect these rules. So thank you.
I’ve never had art in the back of the stove and so far it seems ok. I’m not too convinced that it can stay there long term without it getting greasy but it does look pretty there doesn’t it? ha
I took the glass off the frame so I could photograph it better and you can see the details on the pear. It actually looks more like pastel than acrylic doesn’t it?
Pastel is so much easier to blend so I think next time I will probably do that. I wanted this piece to look like an oil painting but I definitely need a little more work for that.
Thankfully, there a lot more printables below from my talented friends and I’m sure you will find one that suits your style the best.
Thanks to my friend Kristen for putting this hop together and THANK YOU for always being so supportive of me and my journey.
Sending you so much love,
