A Handmade Giveaway

Hello sweet friends – I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Unfortunately, I spent almost the entire weekend under covers with
a box of tissue by my side. On the up side, hubby pampered me and made
me some yummy hot lemon tea and some chicken noodle soup.  I’m not the
type to let a cold knock me into bed, but this cold was kicking my butt.
It was still nice to have a little down time from a hectic week,
as it gave me the opportunity to tour so many beautiful homes.
Did you have a chance to tour some of the homes decorated for Christmas?
If you missed it, you can see our home here.

And don’t forget – you can link up your own home
over at Jennifer Rizzo’s and be possibly be chosen
to be one of the homes in next year’s tour.

But before you go anywhere…

Any creation my kids. I love the “elbow bowls” they did in 2nd grade.. Clay molded around their tiny elbows to form a bowl! They were fired and glazed and still love them so much even tho those sweet kids are now middle schoolers!

When I was in college, my sister gave me a piece of reclaimed and painted wood with a bar on it. I’ve used it to hand kitchen tools ever since!

I loved getting handmade Christmas ornaments when I was a kid – usually from my mom or great aunt. I still have all of them, and they go on my tree every year – at the top with all the most precious ornaments.

I adore handmade gifts! My sister always puts together these nice photo collages that are super nice to hang in the house. Thanks for the giveaway!

I have a tile my art major roommate made me when we were in college. It is white and says, “Let it snow…” in light blue. She also drew some snowflakes on it.

Ooops. I forgot to say what my best home-made gift was. I’d have to say the scarf my sister-in-law made me from her own angora rabbit she plucked…softest thing EVER and the thought that she took all the time…just sooo sweet!!

The Best Homemade Gift that I ever received was from my now deceased Mother, which was a quilted blanket that she made for my youngest son, when he was a newborn. She passed away 2 years later. Thank you for the awesome giveaway!!
