It's that time again, when we come together to share our week with each other. Can you believe this marks the 4th week of our HAPPY HOUR linky party? In such a short period of time, I've gotten to know so many new beautiful blogs and most importantly, I'm getting to know you a little better.
Let me share what I've been up to...
This week I put together my first Halloween Mantel. I must admit I did enjoy putting it together and am so grateful you guys have taken time to provide feedback and link up to our month long HALLOWEEN LINKY party.
I had to contribute to the party so I made some super easy little candy jars and filled them with white and black jelly beans - even though I don't like the taste of black jelly beans, do you?
But I do love the taste of the rosemary & chives flatbread I made the other day. Every time I look at the picture, I want to make it again.
Personally, I had a great week starting with inadvertently meeting a blogger who I had recently found through the linky party. Can you believe she goes to my church and sits a couple of seats in front of us? Small world huh? She recognized me but wasn't sure if it was me or not (I must look better in pictures...ha), but she emailed me and well, I have a new friend! Hi Heather!
Later on that evening, I was browsing through my FB feed and saw that Kate from Centsational girl had featured my fall mantel along with some of YOUR mantels which made me super happy!
Soon after that, Kim from Today's Creative Blog featured me as the featured blogger...wow! I feel a little silly telling you about this sort of thing, and almost decided to leave that part out of my week's update, but it made me so happy and giving them a public 'thank you' seems like the right thing to do.
This weekend is the Canadian Thanksgiving, so we're doing our yearly fall drive along the country roads and will hopefully do a little thrifting along the way? My poor mother-in-law has not been feeling too well so we are postponing our turkey meal for later on this month. She makes the best turkey and I'm not just saying that in case she's reading...(but if she is, I hope you feel better soon, love you).
Oh my wordiness! I guess I DID have a lot to tell you. Sorry for the rambling...time to give someone else a turn, so let's see what Taryn was up to...
Everything Taryn does has her signature style and her beautiful neutral fall porch is no exception. I love how she incorporated the pallet into her design. She also got into the Halloween spirit by making this clever little ghost garland...isn't it adorable? And lastly, don't you just love that Owl scent warmer by Scentsy? Well, guess what? Taryn has a giveaway going on right now so hop on over HERE to enter.
And our girl Jaime...
Jaime is embracing fall in her new lakeside home and made this beautiful fall wreath that coordinates with the rest of her beautiful home. I can't wait to see her entire place all 'fallified'. She also shared this gorgeous housewarming gift; I would encourage you to go and check out the details...perfection!
So now that we've brought you up to date with what we've been up to, how about you tell us what wonderfully creative things you've done this past week? Grab your beverage of choice, link up, and enjoy.
