Sitting here watching the Presidential debate, I, unlike both
of these two eloquent men, have very few words. Instead, I'll
just share some photos of my hutch adorned for fall....

After looking at the photos, the little hutch doesn't seem to have
changed much from the way it looked in the summer (go here to see it)...

I used some of our silver as it will be a good transition into Christmas...

I used to love that 'boob' lamp but now I'm not liking it as
much. I don't have the guts heart to tell hubby...(I guess I just did)
I tried using some gorgeous red oak leaves but decided against it...
(work in progress....eek!)
ahh better...
You know while decorating the hutch I got a crazy desire to
decorate for Christmas...oh oh. What do you think? Way too early?

ReplyDeleteI have only one word... GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteLooooove the white! So clean and crisp! (your milk glass makes me swoon!) And I totally feel ya on the decorating for Christmas urge - I fight to resist all the fall fun until a week or two into the official season, because it becomes a slippery slope of rushing through the holidays if I don't!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so bright and fresh and pretty! I love all the tones and shades of white and cream and silver, your soft, muted, natural colors are so yummy...
ReplyDeleteCindy
So pretty! I'm itching to get started on Christmas decor too :)
ReplyDeleteI love all the shades of white. So airy and clean!
ReplyDeleteLuving all the white and neutral shades of Fall Lu. Beautiful!!

ReplyDeleteYour hutch is beautiful all decked out for fall! I love that you stuck to a neutral color palette! It's lovely!
ReplyDeleteI've also been thinking about Christmas decorating! I always decorate early, but not sure when I'll start! Probably mid November! :)
Beautiful! I, too, have begun pulling out some of my silver and mercury glass in anticipation of using it at Christmas as well.
ReplyDeleteBack away from the Christmas decorations, slowly!! :) In other words, yes it is too early to think about it!
ReplyDeleteSeriously tho, love your calm & serene space!
I love the cool calm lightness of your room.:)
ReplyDeleteLove the wheat! So simple and so perfect!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. We start decorating for Christmas in the middle of November :)
ReplyDeleteYou have such amazing taste! I just love the look of your hutch and all the perfect details.
ReplyDeleteAs always, completely gorgeous, Lucy! Cannot wait to see your lovely hutch decked out for Christmas too!
ReplyDeletePS Just saw your comment about the boob lamp...we had a similar one at our old house, selected by my hubby. Did they go shopping together?!
ReplyDeleteHow absolutely gorgeous, Lucy! Love the serene feel of fall in your home! Just so lovely! Had to laugh at the boob lamp comment. I have a few in my home that I'd love to say bye bye to also!! My daughter is the only other person I have heard call them that! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Becky
LOVE your decor! You know I love white if you've been to my blog much!! I want to decorate for Christmas already too - sounds so fun to start now and have time to totally enjoy the process. But it seems stuff always gets so dusty I cringe to think of dusting all that stuff. I still may start early though!
ReplyDeleteYour hutch and belongings are all so pretty. I love baby boos, too! And I simply adore the hats on the wall!
ReplyDeleteLucy,
ReplyDeleteYour dining room is simply gorgeous, I love your style it's what I want to do in my home. What is the paint color on the walls? It look like a light gray, very pretty!
So beautiful! I love all of your neutral fall decorations! How did we ever live without white pumpkins?! I am with you on the Christmas decorating. I always start mine the day after Thanksgiving. I would start it before, but I host Thanksgiving at my house. . . Life to the full, Melissa

so peaceful and serene and just wonderful Lu. You have the best styling and decorating talents! I wish I could come over to your house and see everything in person! Just beautiful! And I have to say I love seeing your table full of the decor before it is perfect. It is such a familiar scene for me when I am doing the same, so I appreciate that! :o) I hope you are having a wonderful weekend with your family. Remembering your furry friend. Hugs, Jaime
