I hope you all had a great weekend!
Before anything else, thank you once again for coming to our HAPPY HOUR linky party. The party was a great success and it was all your doing. I think I just found another reason to look forward to Fridays! We have so many other ideas we want to incorporate to make it even more fun and interactive. I hope you'll stay tuned...
But for now, there is another thing I have been looking forward to showing you. I made this last week and have been eagerly waiting to share with you. Do you like it? I had the idea last year, but kept putting it off or forgetting about it. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but I just love it!
You can use it as a cute little vase...
Or just as an elegant addition to your tablescape,
perhaps using a battery operated tea light inside...
Mine are currently serving as bookends on my sideboard in the living room...
Here is how I made it...
1. Spray paint jar, vase or can and allow to dry
2. Separately spray the spoons and allow to dry
3. Break spoon handles off
4. With your glue gun, start gluing at the top of your jar, vase or can
5. Glue the next row overlapping the row above and continue doing this all
the way to the bottom
Optional - glue a stand at the bottom using Gorilla glue or any kind of crazy glue.
Would these not look so pretty painted in gold or silver for Christmas (I used a computer program to change the colour)? I love the idea of making some ombre sculptures for a bedroom or bookshelf.
After two craft fails, I am so glad this one turned out ok...:)
I also wanted to let you know that I have jumped on the Instagram train. I have had a personal account for a long time but I decided to open an account for Craftberry Bush.
Do you use instagram? You can find me at craftberrybush, if you do...:)
Well my sweet friends, thank you so much for stopping by, talk to you very soon.
