Hello friends - I hope you had a great Monday. Today was a holiday here in Canada, and as I type I can hear the 'booms' of the fireworks as people celebrate Victoria Day, otherwise known as the May 2-4 weekend (Queen Victoria 's birthday).
I love long weekends, and I especially love, sunny and warm long weekends.
Oh how I've missed the warmth of the sun...
Time to live in the sunshine, swim the sea and drink the fresh air...
Time pretty up your home (a little sign out of old baseboards)...
Grill some delicious food...
Walk along the pier...
Feel free...
Appreciate the beauty of little things...
Live in togetherness...
See the stones skip along the crystal waters...
Make and capture memories...
Dance our summer dance and...
Always keep in mind the foundation of our family...

* I used an old baseboard to create a beachy sign for our backyard. Painted it and added some wording. I then aged it by sanding and adding a little glaze to it.

ReplyDeleteLittle late getting here- busy week/weekend! I was visitng my friend in British Columbia when they had their Independence Day celebration and it was so funny- because here in the states everyone makes a huge production out of it and you hear louds OOOOHs...and AAAHHHs and they send up hundreds of fireworks...so...we go to their celebration and they have a barge in the lake to shoot off the fireworks..so I am thinking HUGE production! They shot up about 20 fireworks and the crowd never said a word- no ooohhss..or aaaahhs...and then everyone just kind of turned around and went home. My friend (who had married a Canadian) and I about peed our pants laughing cuz it was so different from what we expected. Now tell me- are YOU quiet when they shoot off fireworks?
