Spring Home Tour 2017

springlivinroom

Hello, friends. How is your week so far? If you live in the northeast, did you get snowed in? They had forecasted a lot of snow for us, but it thankfully never materialized.

It’s hard to believe Spring is next week and it seems the groundhog got it right this time as there are no signs of spring out there. But it does feel a bit like Spring inside as I’m joining some of my favorite friends to bring you some spring decor inspiration and decor tips. This tour was organized by my dear friend Rachel and is featured by Country Living.

One of my favorite ways to change the entire look of a room is to interchange furniture from one room to the other.

springlivinroom-4

As you can see, I moved our white couches from the family room to the living room.

It instantly gives our home a new look.

I love how my watercolor pillows pop against our white couches. During this time of year, I really crave a little color.

I shared this tablescape last week.

I shared my spring kitchen a couple of weeks ago HERE, but I took a couple of new photos just for fun.

I love this color combo, don’t you? The wonderful scent they give the room doesn’t hurt either.

Remember how I told you moving your furniture is one of the easiest ways to change the look of the room?

I moved our gray chairs here but I also switched the room around.

The couch is back to this spot, which serves Brody quite well.

Here is what it looked like a couple of weeks ago.

I also changed the shelves a little.

I tried to keep everything monochromatic as it avoids the shelves looking cluttered.

Hey, your home looks so fresh and inviting! (like always)! I know you mentioned you got those pots from the dollar store (with the Olive branches in). Just wondering if you could share which dollar store please!? Thanks again!!

And you let your doggie lay on,your white couch?!
    Wow!

Lucy, where do you have your TV? I’m always looking for good TV ideas. Love the family room this way.

    • says

Well, technically we don’t have a TV in this room but during our kitchen reno I borrowed my daughter’s tiny smart TV and I haven’t given it back yet…(oops) But it sits on a little table that I placed on the left side of the room. I usually put it away when we have guests or for photo shoots. We have a ‘real’ large screen in our basement and if we want to watch TV we usually go there. The little TV just keeps me company during the day as background noise. ha.
If I were to have a TV in this room, it would have to be on the mantel, and I would probably ask hubby to make a cover or doors so I could not see it. :/ Check out this Pinterest board with ideas …https://www.pinterest.com/explore/tv-covers/

I love your house and your style. Can you tell me where you purchased the gold mirror over the fireplace? I have been on the hunt for something above ours and I love how it looks in your living room.

Beautiful! I love your new kitchen so much! You must be thrilled to have that space to cook in. :) Everything looks fresh and dreamy for spring.

Lucy, I’m definitely seeing where your style is going now. And I love it. I told you this already but I’ll say it again, I adore the new arrangement of your furniture in your family room. And the pretty pops of color on the white backdrop is just the hues I’ve craving right now!

    Hello Beautiful Lucy,
I’ve been following your blog for a while now. I love the fresh and airy way you decorate! I was looking to buy some of your pillows for spring, but when I went to the link, and also tried to google Society 6, nothing but a black screen came up. Are you selling your work on a different site now? I’d love to know because I think your art is so lovely! Thanks,
    Catherine

  8. Irina says

Just came across your website and felt in love with your decor. So beautiful!! Do you mind telling me where is your grey couch from? Thanks so much!:)

  9. Leilani says

I have been searching for an area rug for my living room. I LOVE how comfy your carpet looks. Can you tell me details? Is it carpet you had bound? Or did you buy a shag area rug? If so, can I have the sources? Thanks so much!

  10. says

It’s so pretty, Lucy! I love how your seasonal changes completely change the look of your home. You always do such a fantastic job.
    Hugs, Jamie

  11. Beth says

I really love how fresh and clean your home always looks. I also love your artwork and have purchased several of your pillows. If I may say though, I find the pop-ups at the bottom of each photo very distracting. Is there a way to turn that off?
