Red Balloons for Ryan free printable card

Hello dear friends, I hope you are all keeping well.
I sit here in my usual spot with my faithful puppy by my side, a loving husband waiting for me to come to bed and my three children safely sleeping in their beds.
I feel blessed and yet at the same time, I cannot help to feel a deep sorrow for two people I have never met, nor will ever meet.
I cannot say I know the pain of losing a child and all I can do is imagine the sorrow, yet it is probably beyond what my heart could take.
The blogging community is mourning the death of a little angel – Ryan.
Who left this Earth as innocently as he entered it.
You can read more of the story here.

Sometimes we wonder why God allows such painful events to occur and we specially cry out when it happens to a child. But amongst all the darkness of a tragedy like the sudden loss of a child, there’s a bright light of HOPE. As strangers come together to keep little Ryan’s memory alive. As strangers lift those parents up in prayer. As strangers cry along with them. As strangers try to help in any way they can. In a world where sometimes all hope is lost, we see God’s work as He brings people together because there is good in all of us.

This sort of event affects me deeply and though I cannot physically give those poor parents a hug, I can show my support by using the precious gift of art that God has graciously given me.
I painted this picture in memory of that beautiful little boy Ryan with those delicious red curls swaying in the wind as he travels towards Jesus.  It was only appropriate that he would be holding a red balloon, as it has become his symbol.
Feel free to print this card and share it with someone you LOVE, because this life does not belong to us and we must live in the NOW and LOVE as hard as we can, while we can.

I have also added this print to my Society 6 shop
and any net profits from  the sales of the ‘Red Balloons for Ryan’ prints
until May 11th will be donated to help Jacqui and Dan, Ryan’s parents.
(FREE SHIPPING AND HANDLING THROUGH MAY 11 is available)

If you rather give directly a fund has been created for them

What a beautiful way to honor sweet Ryan. I will keep Ryans parents in pray, and those who knew and loved him, as well as any parent who has lost a child or any parent with children. You are so kind to do this for the family.

What a tragic loss, I can not begin to feel the pain Ryan’s parents are feeling. My prayers surround them all.
Fly high Ryan like the red Balloon.
    Hugs

I lost my first child when he was four months old…..almost forty years ago. The pain never quite goes away. This is a beautiful picture of sweet Ryan. What a lovely thing for you to do! Ryan’s family is in my prayers.
