Hello friends! I'm so glad you're here, because I have a cheerful craft to show you.
If you read my previous post, you know my family and I are away enjoying a little vacation, but I will continue to post throughout the week. :)
In my humble opinion, I felt the bag looked so pretty with just the butterflies, but I'm really loving all those bright colours out in stores right now and decided to try a little colour blocking using my faithful DecoArt paint, mixed with fabric medium.
I also used my new brush from Canvas Corp. I love the way it absorbs the paint and how smooth the paint goes on; I think it's a combination of two great products. Speaking of great products, Canvas Corp has just introduced beautiful canvas bags and an entire series of new canvas products that I will share with you soon.
The butterflies are painted using the technique shown here. I then embroidered the body of the butterfly with black thread right onto the bag. I also embroidered the antennae of the butterflies.
Here I am doing an awkward little foot pose, but don't you love the contrast of the teal and the yellow?
Did I mention I am loving the bright colours in stores?! I wore this shirt with boyfriend jeans, a little neon pink cincher belt and nude wedges. I also wore a little straw fedora with a messy side braid. But why am I telling you all this? Well, for the last several weeks, I have been posting outfit inspiration albums and talking a bit about fashion trends over on my FB page and I thought it would be neat if I posted my own outfits for the week (maybe?).
But for now my beautiful friends, I hope you enjoyed this post.
Have a great day!
much love,
Lucy
