Sharing a little bit of love.....a paper wreath

Hello again.  It's just past midnight and I had promised myself I would go to bed at a reasonable time tonight.  I fear my lack of sleep is beginning to catch up to me as I feel like I'm walking in a daze during the day....

 But alas, here I am, sharing
a little bit of love with you...

 Those of you who follow me on FB
got to see a little peek of this project...


Although very simple, I think it looks so pretty.
 I hope to incorporate it into my Valentine's mantel,
but have yet to decide on the colour scheme...

Hubby helped me bend and shape a coat hanger
into a heart shape, which I then covered with
book page strips using DecouPage by DecoArt

 The word 'love' is made using the same technique, but with
craft wire.  I allowed it to dry and then bent the wire to form
the word 'love', which was then hot glued onto the heart. 

The stems were done in the same manner and the 
rose created using a previous tutorial found here.







And finally, I re-purposed the frame
I had used for my winter wreath.

I'm not completely satisfied with the photography as I'm not convinced the pictures captured its tenderness...I still have a lot to learn :(


There are a lot of things I wish to talk to you about, but my fatigue is louder than my voice, so I will say bye for now.  Thanks for sharing a little bit of love with me....

  12. Lucy this just makes want to like Valentines Day! It is so beautiful, I think your picture captures the tenderness for sure!. You are so darn talented. Oh and your daughter and her artistic ability at her young age? Puts me to shame. I think I need to change my pinterest name to Craftberry Bush, cause every time you do something I pin it :) I like how you put a watermark on this one, good girl.

    Absolutely one of the sweetest crafts I have seen, and the others belong to you! So delicate, soft and gentle! I was thinking as I looked at it, that it was made with metal, which is hard and yet when covered with delicate paper it breathes softness and love!

    1. Hi D...the music sheets are from an old hymn book I purchased at my local thrift store...but here is a link to the graphic fairy..she has different music sheet printouts...:)
